Beyond drafting basic patterns for common bags, you’ll learn how to manipulate the pattern lines to achieve different designs, structure and kinds of bags. You’ll be able to manipulate the pattern of an everyday tote bag into that of a bucket bag and from a bucket bag into a hobo bag.
Organizers & Compartments
You’ll learn how to add dividers, laptop compartment, slip pockets, pen pockets, zip pockets both on the interior and exterior of bag
Tote Gusset Construction
Gusset gives structure and sgape to a bag, You’ll learn how to apply the Tote Gusset construction method to making different designs of bags such as makeup purse, clutch purse, travel bags, crossbody bags, handbags, shoulder bags, lap
Lining Methods
Struggling with rough or ugly bag interiors ends after you join this class. You’ll learn the various techniques to neatly finish the interior of your bags and attach functional features to your linings
Hardware Fixtures
You’ll learn how to rightly fix on your bags hardware like eyelets, chain handles, bag locks, bag stands, zip stoppers, etc.
Material Selection & Choice
Wrong leather together with wrong stiffener can send a bag maker into two weeks of depression, and not applying reinforcement where necessary can make your customers set ring-light and drag you and your business if you don’t learn to do it right. In this class, I’ll walk you through how to choose your materials and what you should consider when choosing materials for your projects
Handle construction & Approaches
If your handle is too basic, your bag won’t be fine. you handle has to compliment the details on the design of bag you’re making.
In this bootcamp you’ll learn how to make various types of handles and straps that you can easily use on your bags
Bag Closure Methods
You’ll learn how to use magnets, locks and zips to secure a bag,
Quilting
You’ll learn how to make quilts that are straight, puffy and intentional
Bag Fabric Manipulation
Leathers don’t come pleated or topstitched or layered from the market, it’s an intentional detail made on a bag by an intentional crafts person.
